Clients Day at S.E.A. Aquarium

Client’s day was a refreshing experience for both the clients and FOCUS Adventure! The event was organised in conjunction with the FOCUS Adventure’s partnership with Resorts World Sentosa. With over a 100 attendees for this event which was organised in S.E.A Aquarium’s function room was filled with fun, and laughter. The event introduced the clients on two of the newest activities, The Millionaire Challenge! and The SEA Aquarium Challenge! FOCUS Adventure will offer these activities in Resorts World Sentosa.

The two new introduced programmes saw a very favourable response from the audience. The event also sparked quite a number of curious questions about these and other programmes that were showcased. The event was concluded with a lucky draw, sending 5 lucky attendees home with attractive prizes. The half-day-long client’s day was a successful event for our clients, our partners from RWS as well as ourselves at FOCUS Adventure.

Children’s Day with MINDS

FOCUS Adventure celebrates Children’s Day with MINDS students at Universal Studio Singapore

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts to support children and youths with special needs, FOCUS Adventure hopes to be a catalyst for growth, development and change for the students.

In collaboration with Towner Gardens School, one of the four special education schools run by the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), FOCUS Adventure brought 20 students to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) on 1st October 2014.

Unlike conventional excursions where companies solely bring the children on tours to various Singapore’s attractions, FOCUS Adventure taps on its expertise in experiential learning to unleash the students’ potential through team challenges (attempting the rides as a group) and photo quizzes, leading to greater self-awareness and self-confidence.

With this project, FOCUS Adventure hopes that it can play a small but significant part to create awareness about Persons With Disability (PWDs); thereby ensuring a greater chance for the students to maximise their potential and become independent individuals who can integrate into the society successfully.

Testimonials from Towner Garden School

Thank you very much for the kind sponsorship.  Our students have a terrific time.  It has been a hot day and it was really hard on you all to see to their needs.  Really appreciate all the lovely goodies bestowed on them.

Our heartfelt thanks to all of u out there!
- Ms Loke, Principal

Our hearfelt thanks for a wondeful day out yesterday. The kids truly enjoyed themselves and also benefitted from learning about teamwork, responsibility as well as navigation. For some of them who have not yet gone to a theme park, just going on the rides was a fun learning experience for them. Thank you so much for giving them this unforgettable opportunity.

Your attention to our safety as well the comfort of the students did not go unoticed by our teachers. In addition you still showered them with gifts (caps, lunch, goodie bags) from your own pockets.

Thanks for making a difference in their lives. Hope you all had as much fun as the students and teachers did yesterday.

On behalf of Michelle and Learning Journey Committee, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
- Lisa, Teacher

FOCUS Adventure awarded P1 Franchise in Singapore

P1 To Add Singapore To International Race Calendar

Having grown into the world’s largest marine motorsport brand over the last twelve years, Powerboat P1 has announced plans to take its SuperStock powerboat and AquaX jet ski race series to Singapore next year as a first step to racing throughout the region.

Together with the Singapore Power Boat Association, FOCUS Adventure and Raffles Marina, P1 will make Singapore a strategic hub as part of its long-term plans to introduce its Grand Prix of the Seas series to selected markets in Southeast Asia. Having just returned from the region to the company’s international headquarters in central London, P1 CEO James Durbin explains: “Partnerships are at the heart of our business strategy and we are delighted to be working with these well respected local organisations to define our common goals and make P1 a reality in Singapore. We are making a commitment to boost the local economy through our sports tourism activity, generate global media exposure and provide local people with fast, furious, fun and free-to-watch events.”

Since 2003 P1 has staged more than 200 races in 17 countries on 3 continents, and this year more than 180 racers competed in the successful P1 powerboat and P1 Aquax personal watercraft race series in the UK and USA. The 2014 race season featured 12 events, attracting more than 200,000 spectators and TV viewers in more than 50 countries via a number of international sports networks that include Fox Sports, Ten Sports and Sky Sports.

The Singapore Power Boat Association is the non-profit national sporting association for power boating in Singapore and its President, Gerry de Souza says of the partnership with P1: “From the start of our discussions it was clear that we shared many values and our aim is to increase the participation of safe and controlled powerboat racing in Singapore and the wider ASEAN region.” These words were echoed by the founder of FOCUS Adventure, Andrew Chua: “As one of the leading adventure training providers in the region, we see a great opportunity to deliver a commercial programme on a local, regional and international stage using the P1 platform in Singapore.” The proposed venue partner is the full service boating haven and quality resort of Raffles Marina, which will be looking to take advantage of the international exposure and increased use if its comprehensive race support facilities.
